Independent Candidate in the 2009 local elections.He is treasurer of Our Lady of Lourdes Umbrella Group and is the Community & Voluntary Forum (CVF) rep for the parish. |
| Nominated by the BWRA, he is the CVF rep on Limerick City Councils Environment Strategic Policy Committee. Cathal has a Degree of Graduate Diploma in Sociology (Youth, Community & Social Regeneration) from the University of Limerick and has a FETAC Level 5 Distinction in Human Rights. |
